Was the 604-168X for higher power also I know it was for bi-amping ??? And I think also sold without networks.
I think the pair I have here were. I'll have to ask John. They are his and he had them rebuilt at GPA. I know that they had symbiotic frams originally.
I think it replaced the 604 HPLN with slightly higher power handling

Probably just the lighting or camera angle, but the pic on that data sheet could have a fella believe that frame is white(looking at the rim of the basket).
Aren't those (604-168X) what Stanal Sound used in some of their Screamers?
Not all vegetables make good leaders.

Well done on the info...
Would it be worthwhile to add the HPLN is the only one using the multicell?

Longtime member of this group. I have a pair of modified 904-8A. I changed the symbiotic frams for GPA 34647's. Removed the loading caps and added felt to the covers. I still have the orig frams, 34726 if anyone is interested.
I removed the bug screens, I'm a believer in that.
So what else is required to make this a true 604? I know the LF cone is more HD....but these sound awfull good to me! especially with subwoofers.
